About the Event

Have you ever wondered what Freemasonry is all about or what is in that beautiful

building at 39 Central Square on the common?

On October 15, 2022, Fellowship Lodge, 39

Central Square, Bridgewater, will open its doors to the general public from 9 AM-3 PM.

Refreshments will be served to all that attend.

Fellowship Lodge was first organized in Bridgewater by men from

town assisted by Paul Revere in 1797. At that time, he was serving

as the head of Freemasons in Massachusetts. However, he was no

stranger to Bridgewater having visited the various ironworks in

town during the American Revolution.

Fellowship Lodge is part of the Grand Lodge of Masons in

Massachusetts so one can visit massfreemasonry.org and view a

wealth of information on Masonry. Fellowship also has a local web

page, fellowshiplodge5797.com.

Masonry is not areligious or political organization.

Masonry is basically a men’s fraternity with a connection to Eastern Star for men and

women, Rainbow for young girls, and DeMolay for young boys. These organizations are

international and can be visited all over the world.

Men from all walks of life have been masons

ranging from the authors of the American Constitution to the common man next door.

One of the basic principles of masonry is that it regards no man for his social or economic status.

Fellowship Lodge has played a key role in local history since 1797.

Stop by on October 15, men, women, and small children, and experience some fellowship and local history. If you

have any questions you can call Grand Lodge at 800-882-1020 or a member of Fellowship

directly at 508-294-4216.
