Famous Freemason - Bro. William “Buffalo Bill” Cody

Buffalo Bill Cody was a soldier, bison hunter, scout and showman, who founded ‘The Wild West Show’ touring the United States and Europe with the likes of which boasted talents like Annie Oakley and Chief Sitting Bull for three decades. Cody took his Degrees in 1871 in Platte Valley Lodge No.32, in North Platte Nebraska. He took his Chapter Degrees in 1888 in Euphrates Chapter No. 15 and his Templar Orders in Palestine Commandery No.13 in 1889 both located in North Platte. Cody became a Scottish Rite Mason in 1894, in the Valley of New York City. In 1882 he petitioned Tangier Temple of the Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of Omaha, Nebraska.
